5-Day Worship Challenge #3!

Updated: Sep 23, 2023

We know the power of having God’s word hidden in our hearts, and we should include worship passages so we can recall and use them for encouragement or worship at any moment. Choose one of your favorites (that you don’t already have memorized) or find one on this list below that you like. Keep it handy over the next 5 days so you can keep returning to it. And try to have it set in your memory by the last couple of days so you can frequently meditate on it and continually lift it in worship. (By the way, feel free to learn more than one new passage!) I know God will bless the time you spend focusing on and learning more of His word!

Here are a few options:

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness by night, With the ten-stringed lute, and with the harp; With resounding music upon the lyre. For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands” Psalm 92:1-4.

“O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods, In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand” Psalm 95:1-7b.

“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name” 1 Chronicles 29:11-13.

“Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You. All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name” Psalm 66:1-4.

"I love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,

My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation,

my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised,

and I am saved from my enemies. The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock;

and exalted be the God of my salvation” Psalm 18: 1-3, 46.

“Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever.

From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised”

Psalm 113:1-3.
