Confession: I’m tired.

Confession: I’m tired.

There’s a lot going on in my life right now from changes to challenges and routines to requisites. So it’s easy to let it weigh me down if I’m not careful.

You know what? I’m so thankful God’s not tired.

He’s not tired of drawing me, listening to me, or helping me. He’s not tired of being faithful – of pouring out His strength in my weakness or His understanding in my searching.

He’s not tired of reminding me one more time of who He is. Who He is in me and for me.

And that He never changes. Ever.

When it comes to me (and you), God never tires (Isaiah 40:28).

Who God is is the the foundation of my life. Without God, everything else falls apart (Colossians 1:17). Without God, hope is a word and not a reality that anchors my soul (Hebrews 6:19). Without God, I am destined to stay in whatever pit I may slip into with little help clawing my way out (Psalm 40:2).

But God is God. <breathe> And today, I’m thankful He’s not tired like me.

Tomorrow I may be thankful that He’s strong or wise or forgiving or . . .

And I will worship Him.

For my God is wholly worthy on any day in any place life finds me of all I could possibly offer Him in that place. Because God is always God there.

God, help me to know You more!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits” (Psalm 103:1-2).

Who are you thankful that God is for you today?
